Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR, P&C) Position Overview
The Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative plays a critical role in supporting a State Farm Agent’s team. This part-time position is ideal for individuals with active Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses who are dedicated to providing excellent customer experiences. As a Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will utilize your expertise to assist clients with insurance-related inquiries, policy changes, and claims support while fostering strong customer relationships within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and develop customer relationships, ensuring ongoing communication and follow-up as needed to support policyholders and prospects.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service by addressing inquiries related to insurance products, eligibility, coverage options, policy modifications, transfers, claim submissions, and billing concerns.
- Educate customers about insurance options using a needs-based review process that aligns with their individual situations and goals.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service daily.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations and positive client outcomes.
- Complete and maintain timely and thorough activity reports for the agent’s review.
- Stay current with product changes, industry developments, licensing requirements, and ongoing education to maintain compliance and up-to-date knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Active Property & Casualty license (required)
- Active Life and Health license (required)
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Multi-tasking capability and commitment to timely, accurate completion of responsibilities
- Competency with computers and the ability to learn new systems and functions
- Bilingual skills preferred
