Insurance Customer Service Representative Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team in Hopkins, MN. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent customer service and building lasting client relationships within the insurance sector. The Insurance Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in supporting our agency’s growth through a combination of customer engagement, lead generation, and policy support. Successful candidates will receive thorough training to ensure proficiency in all aspects of the role, regardless of previous insurance experience.
Responsibilities- Generate leads by identifying and contacting prospective clients, setting appointments, and assessing customer needs to recommend appropriate insurance products and services.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships by providing timely follow-ups, responding to inquiries, and assisting clients with their insurance options.
- Address customer questions regarding policy eligibility, updates, transfers, claims, and billing inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
- Deliver outstanding service in every client interaction to ensure a high level of satisfaction and trust in our agency’s offerings.
- Collaborate with the team to meet or exceed established sales goals and quotas, contributing to the agency’s overall success.
- Stay current with product knowledge and industry trends to provide informed responses and recommendations to clients.
- Must be able to obtain a Property & Casualty license; candidates with an active license are preferred.
- Must be able to obtain a Life & Health license; holding an active license is an advantage.
- Prior insurance sales experience, including Property & Casualty and Life & Health, is preferred but not required.
- Sales experience in any capacity, such as outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing, is considered a plus.
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals or quotas is preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills are essential.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow within the insurance field.
- Capable of building rapport and effectively relating to a diverse customer base.
