Leave of Absence Coordinator (LOA Coordinator) Job OverviewThe Leave of Absence Coordinator (LOA Coordinator) plays a critical role in supporting employee well-being and organizational compliance by managing leave of absence requests and related documentation. As a full-time professional, the LOA Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for employees and supervisors, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for all leave of absence matters. Key Responsibilities- Administer leave of absence (LOA) requests for eligible employees by initiating new leaves, monitoring ongoing cases, and maintaining accurate records.
- Communicate with employees and managers regarding the status of leaves, ensuring all parties are informed and supported throughout the process.
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact for LOA matters, responding to questions and providing guidance to employees and supervisors on related policies and procedures.
- Utilize company systems, such as ADP and Kronos, to enter employee-specific data and maintain up-to-date LOA records.
- Coordinate with third-party insurance carriers to address questions and manage short-term disability claim statuses.
- Identify and resolve day-to-day issues related to LOA administration, applying established policies and previous precedents to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel for data tracking and reporting.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms, particularly ADP and Kronos, is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with employees, supervisors, and external partners.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently within established guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in leave administration or HR support roles is advantageous.
