Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) - Summary- Provide expert nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period
- Monitor fetal and maternal health, recognizing and responding to complications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Educate and support patients and families through the childbirth process
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory guidelines
- Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
- Administer medications and manage intravenous lines as ordered by physicians
- Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives during labor, delivery, and surgical procedures
- Support patients through pain management methods, including non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic interventions
- Educate patients and families on the labor and delivery process, postpartum care, and newborn care
- Respond quickly to emergencies, utilizing clinical judgment and adhering to established protocols
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the labor and delivery unit
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and family members

- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, meeting all state and federal regulations
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in labor and delivery nursing preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care
- Experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of labor and delivery nursing
- Demonstrates empathy, patience, and professionalism in all patient interactions
