Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) - Summary- Provide direct patient care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and ancillary staff to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Utilize advanced clinical skills in monitoring, assessment, and intervention for maternal and fetal well-being
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with facility policies
- Support patient education and family involvement throughout the labor and delivery process
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of maternal and fetal status before, during, and after delivery
- Administer medications and monitor for potential side effects or complications
- Assist with labor induction, pain management, and delivery procedures
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
- Educate patients and families regarding postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding
