Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) - Summary- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a hospital or clinical setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Deliver patient education and emotional support to families throughout the childbirth process
- Monitor the health and status of mothers and infants during labor and delivery
- Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Assist with labor induction, epidurals, and other obstetric procedures
- Provide postpartum care and support breastfeeding initiation
- Document patient information and care activities accurately and timely
- Respond to emergencies and collaborate with medical teams as needed
- Maintain compliance with all clinical protocols, safety regulations, and licensing standards
