Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) - Summary- Provide direct nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a collaborative, patient-centered environment
- Ensure the highest standards of patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality
- Monitor vital signs of mothers and newborns throughout the labor and delivery process
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed
- Assess and document patient conditions, progress, and responses to interventions
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility protocols
- Support mothers with pain management techniques and emotional reassurance
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies or changes in patient condition
