Ted's Montana is seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. As a Kitchen Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our scratch kitchen operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Kitchen Operations: Oversee all aspects of daily kitchen operations, ensuring food preparation, cooking, and plating meet established quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to recipes and served promptly to guests.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of kitchen staff including chefs, cooks, and prep personnel. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and providing ongoing coaching and support.
- Food Quality and Safety: Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food through strict adherence to recipes, presentation guidelines, and portion controls. Uphold and enforce food safety and sanitation standards, regularly inspecting workstations and taking corrective action as needed to maintain compliance with all regulations.
- Inventory and Cost Control: Maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize food waste, and implement effective portion control measures. Collaborate with management to set and monitor kitchen budgets, control costs, and drive overall kitchen efficiency in the Bolingbrook, IL location.
- Staff Training and Development: Train new and existing staff on cooking techniques, recipe execution, plating standards, and safety practices. Encourage continuous learning and professional growth among your team members.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the kitchen complies with all health, safety, and food handling regulations. Keep accurate documentation and records related to safety procedures and inspections.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or Culinary Manager in a scratch kitchen restaurant environment.
- Strong culinary skills and a thorough understanding of kitchen operations.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and cost control practices.
- Willingness and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in Bolingbrook, IL.
