We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic culinary team in a casual dining environment. Responsibilities
- Kitchen Operations: Direct and supervise all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and sanitation. Ensure every dish meets the restaurant's established quality standards and is served promptly, according to recipes and portion guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and prep personnel. Cultivate a collaborative and positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and provide ongoing coaching and professional development to help staff grow in their roles.
- Food Quality and Safety: Maintain rigorous standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation. Enforce strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and taking corrective actions to ensure compliance with all health codes.
- Inventory and Cost Control: Manage food inventory, monitor supply levels, and implement effective portion control and waste reduction practices. Work closely with management to develop and monitor kitchen budgets, optimize food costs, and maximize kitchen efficiency.
- Staff Training and Development: Provide continuous training for kitchen staff on cooking techniques, plating, and standard operating procedures. Foster a culture of ongoing learning, skill development, and improvement within the team.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and workplace safety standards, including proper food handling, sanitation, and equipment use. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Kitchen Manager in a full-service casual dining establishment.
- Proven culinary expertise and a solid understanding of kitchen operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to remain organized and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in inventory management and cost control procedures.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
