Java Developer (Java/J2EE) Job OverviewARC Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer (Java/J2EE) for a full-time contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion to permanent employment. This role is fully remote, with core working hours aligning to the eastern time zone. The Java Developer (Java/J2EE) will contribute to the development, programming, and coding of innovative Information Technology solutions, supporting a dynamic and reputable organization renowned for career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including gathering and analyzing user and business system requirements.
- Respond promptly to application outages, ensuring system reliability and consistent business operations.
- Create, document, and maintain detailed system specifications, models, and technical documentation for both internally developed applications and purchased products.
- Conduct and participate in design meetings, collaborating with stakeholders and clients to refine application requirements and solutions.
- Test and debug programs, ensuring code quality and performance standards are met.
- Perform and document performance testing, as well as planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Implement IT controls to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and data processed or output by these applications.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional, full-stack Java/J2EE development experience in a collaborative work environment.
- Proficiency in front-end and back-end development using React JS and Node JS, with demonstrable hands-on experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to fast-paced project requirements.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a focus on clarity and detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team environment, particularly during core eastern time zone business hours.
