As a Janitor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all areas of the building remain clean, orderly, and safe. Through the consistent execution of heavy and light cleaning duties, you help create a welcoming and healthy environment. This includes a variety of tasks such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing trash according to infection control protocols. Your attention to detail and initiative to identify areas needing special attention are vital for maintaining our high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.

Janitor - Summary- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of all facility areas
- Perform both heavy and light cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary environment
- Support the organization's mission by upholding high standards of hygiene and safety
- Work collaboratively within a diverse team to achieve facility goals
- Collect and dispose of trash in accordance with infection control protocols
- Dust and damp mop floors using approved procedures
- Move equipment and furniture as necessary for thorough cleaning and restore items to correct placement
- Clean and sanitize assigned areas using specified materials and equipment; follow the eight-step cleaning procedure
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks without direct supervision
- Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor promptly and efficiently
- Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and county guidelines while performing duties
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets as needed
- Contribute to a positive team environment and demonstrate professionalism with colleagues and customers
