IT Trainer Position Overview
IDR is seeking an experienced IT Trainer for a full-time contract position with one of our top clients in Atlanta. The IT Trainer will play a crucial role in providing technical training, developing instructional content, and supporting end users in the efficient adoption of IT applications and systems. As a key member of the IT team, the IT Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering effective training programs that enhance employee performance and ensure successful use of new technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive IT technical training to employees across the organization, ensuring that users are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to utilize IT applications and systems effectively.
- Develop and update role-based training content tailored to end users, focusing on clarity, engagement, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Maintain accurate training records within a Learning Management System (LMS) to track progress and compliance for all participants.
- Travel to various client locations as needed to facilitate scheduled in-person training sessions, providing hands-on support and addressing user questions directly.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and IT professionals to ensure training materials accurately reflect system functionality and business processes.
- Support the ongoing improvement of training programs by gathering feedback from participants and updating content to reflect changes in systems or best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
- Demonstrated experience in IT technical training, computer technology, IT applications, or end user support.
- Background in instructional design, including visual design, storyboarding, and writing clear instructional or audio/video scripts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications is essential.
- Familiarity with e-learning and content development tools such as Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia, Articulate 360/Storyline, ServiceNow, and MS Teams is a plus.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license to fulfill travel requirements.
