Our client, a prominent IT Solutions Company, is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer (MSP) to join their team on a full-time basis in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As an IT Systems Engineer (MSP), you will play an integral role in supporting a diverse range of client environments, focusing on delivering comprehensive IT solutions and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide both pre- and post-sales technical support, which includes participating in discovery meetings, conducting site visits, preparing proposals and presentations, performing technical assessments, and managing the implementation of technical solutions.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Windows Servers and Active Directory environments to ensure seamless operations across client infrastructures.
- Design, implement, and optimize Local Area Networks (LANs) to meet clients’ business needs and ensure high availability and security.
- Implement and monitor network security measures to protect client data, systems, and applications from unauthorized access and threats.
- Maintain and optimize network hardware and software, ensuring reliable performance and rapid resolution of technical issues.
- Build and deploy file servers and cloud-based computing solutions, tailoring deployments to client requirements and industry best practices.
- Configure and deploy VOIP solutions, ensuring reliable and high-quality communication systems for clients.
- Troubleshoot network infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Server environments, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Support telephone solutions, ensuring consistent and dependable communication systems for clients.
- Monitor alert systems, responding appropriately according to established guidelines and protocols.
- Utilize event log messages to diagnose and repair system issues, maintaining system health and performance.
- Handle escalated service requests that require advanced technical expertise and timely response.
- Assist with new user onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition and setup for new employees within client organizations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, Exchange Server, and Active Directory.
- Demonstrated experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is required.
- A minimum of 3 years in a client-facing role, such as sales engineering, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with comfort in engaging with clients to understand and address their business and technology challenges.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience writing technical proposals and implementing solutions tailored to business needs.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, professional, reliable, and a collaborative team player.
- Solid understanding of technology and business productivity systems.
- Experience with RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools such as Kaseya or ConnectWise is a plus.
- Familiarity with PSA (Professional Services Automation) tools such as Autotask or ConnectWise is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, outstanding customer service, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Sales training experience is considered an asset.
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications.
- MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Solutions Associate), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/Solutions Expert), or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
- CCNA or CCIE Cisco certifications are highly valued.
