IT Support Specialist Job OverviewThe IT Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems within the organization. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for managing hardware and software assets, maintaining accurate inventory records, and delivering support to users in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to end users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure minimal downtime and high user satisfaction.
- Handle asset management tasks, including processing quote and order requests for IT equipment and software, tracking and receiving orders, and maintaining warehouse inventory.
- Update and maintain records in the asset management system, ensuring all hardware and software assets are accurately documented throughout their lifecycle.
- Contact users to validate asset information, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of asset tracking via routine soft audits and direct communication.
- Utilize the MS Office Suite to manage documentation, generate reports, and communicate with various internal teams and stakeholders.
- Support the organization’s compliance and asset tracking policies by following established procedures for asset receipt, deployment, and return.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the IT department.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in IT support roles, demonstrating a strong foundation in technical troubleshooting and user assistance.
- At least 1 year of experience with hardware and software asset management, including inventory tracking and record maintenance.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, with the ability to manage spreadsheets, documentation, and communication effectively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail in managing IT assets and records.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, enabling positive interactions with end users and team members.
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
