IT Support Specialist II (MSP) Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable IT Support Specialist II (MSP) for a full-time position with an established IT solutions company based in Shreveport, LA. As an IT Support Specialist II (MSP), you will play a crucial role in delivering technical support and solutions to a diverse client base while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a client-facing environment and have a strong background working within Managed Service Provider (MSP) settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical assistance during pre- and post-sales activities, such as discovery meetings, site visits, proposals, presentations, technical assessments, and implementation support.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Windows Servers and Active Directory environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Design and maintain Local Area Networks (LANs) and implement network security protocols to safeguard client infrastructure.
- Optimize, maintain, and upgrade network software and hardware to meet evolving business needs.
- Build, deploy, and support file servers and cloud computing solutions, ensuring secure and efficient data management.
- Configure and deploy Voice over IP (VOIP) solutions, supporting the communication needs of clients.
- Perform network infrastructure troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
- Manage and support Microsoft Exchange Server and related messaging solutions.
- Provide technical support for telephone systems and assist with the deployment of new solutions as required.
- Monitor alert systems, analyze event logs, and take appropriate remediation steps in accordance with established guidelines.
- Receive and resolve escalated service requests that require advanced technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Support new user onboarding processes, ensuring seamless integration into IT systems and services.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers, workstations, Exchange Server, and Active Directory.
- 2-3 years of experience in a client-facing technical or sales engineering role.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients to understand their business and technical requirements.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing technical proposals and implementing solutions to fulfill complex business needs.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, professional, and reliable team player with a strong work ethic.
- In-depth understanding of technology and business productivity systems.
- Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, extraordinary customer service skills, and a high degree of multi-tasking proficiency.
- Sales training experience is considered beneficial.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required)
- CompTIA Network+ (Net+), CompTIA Security+.
- MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Solutions Associate), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/Solutions Expert), MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
- CCNA or CCIE Cisco certifications.
