Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to support requests via telephone, web portal, and email to provide courteous and effective solutions for end-user issues.
- Facilitate the provisioning and system setup for new employees to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Prioritize incidents and service requests according to established processes to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Utilize remote diagnostic tools to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve support requests.
- Administer server environments, including Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, and DHCP management.
- Install and maintain antivirus software to ensure virus definitions are current and systems are protected.
- Oversee network firewall and switch administration, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Optimize and maintain network software and hardware infrastructure for consistent performance.
- Build and deploy file servers and implement cloud computing solutions as needed.
- Configure and deploy VOIP solutions to support organizational communication requirements.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Server and ensure reliable email communication across the organization.
- Support telephone systems and escalate complex technical issues as necessary.
- Monitor alert systems and respond appropriately according to established guidelines.
- Analyze event logs to identify and resolve IT issues efficiently.
- Handle escalated service requests that require advanced technical knowledge and timely resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is essential.
- A minimum of four years of hands-on experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, Exchange server, and Active Directory.
- Two to three years of experience in a client-facing role, such as sales engineering.
- Familiarity with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools, such as Connectwise or Kaseya, is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools, such as Autotask, is beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and understand their business and technical needs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Experience in developing proposals and implementing technical solutions to meet business requirements.
- Highly motivated, reliable, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Advanced problem-solving abilities, exceptional customer service skills, and proficiency in technology and business productivity systems.
- Sales training experience is considered an asset.
Preferred Certifications (not required)
- CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications.
- Microsoft certifications, including MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Solutions Associate), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
- Cisco certifications, such as CCNA or CCIE, are highly regarded.
