IT Support Specialist Job Overview
IDR is seeking a skilled and resourceful IT Support Specialist to join our client’s team in Suwanee, GA. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless technology operations and supporting the diverse needs of end-users across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive technical assistance, both hands-on and remotely, to approximately 400 users distributed across several sites in Suwanee, GA.
- Provide expert support for various operating systems, including Windows OS, MAC OS, and Chrome OS, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues related to projectors, TVs, displays, and Smart Boards, contributing to the smooth operation of educational technology resources.
- Utilize tools such as Active Directory and Altiris to manage Windows environments, perform imaging, and deploy software efficiently to all relevant systems.
- Create and maintain thorough support documentation, as well as training and onboarding materials, to facilitate knowledge sharing and user independence.
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in IT support or help desk roles, demonstrating a strong background in technology troubleshooting and user support.
- Proficient in supporting Windows OS, MAC OS, and Chrome OS platforms, ensuring adaptability in a diverse technical landscape.
- Experience working with Active Directory and Altiris for system management and software deployment.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems is an asset, enhancing the ability to track and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to a variety of users.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
