IT Support Engineer III (MSP) Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer III (MSP) to join a leading managed services provider (MSP) on a full-time basis in Rockwall, TX. The IT Support Engineer III (MSP) plays a critical role in providing advanced technical support, network management, and client-facing solutions. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide both pre- and post-sales technical support, including discovery meetings, site visits, technical assessments, and client presentations.
- Deploy and manage Windows Servers and administer Active Directory environments to ensure secure and reliable operations.
- Design, implement, and maintain Local Area Networks (LANs) for diverse client environments.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols and systems to protect client data and infrastructure.
- Optimize and maintain network software and hardware, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
- Build, configure, and deploy file servers and cloud computing solutions tailored to client business needs.
- Configure and deploy VOIP communication solutions for reliable telephony and unified communications.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting for network infrastructure and escalate complex service requests as necessary.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Server environments, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Support deployment and maintenance of telephone solutions for business clients.
- Monitor alert systems and respond according to established guidelines to maintain service levels.
- Analyze system event logs to identify and resolve technical issues proactively.
- Handle escalated service requests that require enhanced technical expertise and prompt resolution.
- Guide new user onboarding processes, ensuring seamless integration into client networks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience working in a managed services provider (MSP) environment is required.
- Minimum of four years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers, workstations, Exchange Server, and Active Directory.
- At least three years of client-facing experience in environments such as sales engineering.
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, with the ability to interact confidently with clients to understand and resolve their technology needs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Experience writing technical proposals and implementing solutions to meet diverse business requirements.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, professional, reliable, and able to contribute effectively to a team environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of technology solutions and business productivity systems.
- Experience with RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) platforms.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, outstanding customer service abilities, and the capacity to multitask efficiently.
- Sales training experience is considered a plus.
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications.
- Microsoft certifications such as MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Solutions Associate), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer/Expert), or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) are highly valued.
