IT Service Desk Coordinator (MSP) - Summary
- Serve as the main point of contact for client communication regarding IT service requests and ticket status updates.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of support tickets.
- Foster strong client relationships through clear and timely updates, managing client expectations throughout the ticket lifecycle.
- Support a growing MSP dedicated to providing comprehensive technology solutions to a diverse business clientele.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage the ticketing system, addressing new tickets and assigning them to appropriate technicians.
- Monitor and update open tickets, ensuring they are being worked on, updated, and closed in a timely manner.
- Create and update tickets based on service requests received via emails, phone calls, verbal communications, and voicemails.
- Schedule service calls (both onsite and remote) for ticket resolution and coordinate these with the resource schedule.
- Assist technicians by entering charges into tickets as needed and ensuring all relevant information is documented.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding service timeframes or any necessary scheduling adjustments.
- Track tickets awaiting parts, update statuses upon arrival, and coordinate with clients to schedule follow-up appointments.
- Ensure tickets progress efficiently through each stage of the service process.
- Coordinate daily ticket reviews with technical resources and manage overall resource scheduling.
- Assist in answering incoming support calls, ensuring proper message taking and call forwarding as appropriate.
- Provide timely and accurate updates to clients on the status of their open tickets.
- Monitor select IT services to verify process effectiveness and operational continuity.
- Contribute input for technician annual reviews in collaboration with IT leadership.
- Act as the resident Autotask expert, training new employees on the platform.
- Track weekly service delivery metrics and provide recommendations for process improvements as needed.
