IT Procurement Manager Job Overview
IDR is seeking an experienced IT Procurement Manager to join a leading client in Glenn Mills, PA on a full-time basis. This role is designed for professionals who excel in developing IT procurement strategies, contract negotiation, and fostering strong vendor relationships. As an IT Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing technology spend and ensuring that the organization receives the best value in hardware, software, cloud services, and telecommunications agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic IT procurement initiatives to drive efficiencies and optimize organizational spend across all technology categories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal IT business partners to assess global technology spend, identify process improvements, and enhance value for money.
- Design and implement effective negotiation strategies with vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and advantageous contract terms for the organization.
- Lead contract negotiations for major IT spend areas, including hardware, software (on-premise and SaaS), cloud services, telecommunications, and professional technology services.
- Collaborate with IT stakeholders to align procurement strategies with both departmental and company-wide objectives, supporting overall business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain management, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT procurement, with a strong emphasis on software contract management and negotiation.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and redlining, including master agreements, statements of work, and purchase orders.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior staff and articulate procurement strategies effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to support procurement analysis and presentations.
