We are seeking a dedicated IT Help Desk Technician (MSP) to provide essential technical support within a managed services environment. As a key member of our client’s team, based in Scottsdale, AZ, you will play a vital role in supporting end-users and maintaining IT infrastructure as a full-time employee. This position requires a strong understanding of business desktop and server technologies, including expertise with Windows 10 workstations, Windows 2016 and 2019 servers, advanced networking, and a range of vendor-specific hardware and software. Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt and professional end-user assistance, resolving IT issues efficiently and courteously.
- Serve as the primary contact for Windows Desktop-related concerns, ensuring optimal workstation performance.
- Assist with Windows Server administration, supporting both Windows 2016 and 2019 server environments.
- Monitor alert systems and respond appropriately according to established guidelines and protocols.
- Analyze event logs and utilize available system messages to diagnose and repair technical problems.
- Handle escalated service requests, providing a higher level of technical response where required.
- Facilitate new user onboarding, including system setup and access configuration.
- Support network services, including network equipment installation and troubleshooting.
- Participate in LAN/WAN installation and provide ongoing maintenance support for network infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.
- Assist with specialized systems such as door card access, wander guard, lighting, and HVAC controls as needed.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in IT help desk, desktop support, IT support analyst, IT service desk, or a similar technical support role.
- Prior experience working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Remote Management & Monitoring (RMM) software (e.g., Connectwise, Kaseya, Ninja).
- Familiarity with PSA (Professional Services Automation) or ticketing software (such as Autotask).
- Background in network and firewall administration, with experience in platforms such as Sonicwall and Meraki.
- Proficient in troubleshooting networks, servers, and workstations.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service with a courteous, tactful, and professional manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience in presenting technical information to groups is desirable.
