Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the front line of defense by answering incoming calls and responding to user inquiries regarding technical issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems involving Windows 10 workstations, Windows Server 2016 and 2019, advanced networking, and vendor-specific hardware and software.
- Escalate complex technical problems to more experienced technicians as appropriate, ensuring seamless issue resolution.
- Monitor and manage support tickets throughout the lifecycle, following up with users until issues are fully resolved and tickets are closed.
- Perform password resets and ensure secure account management for users.
- Set up IP phones and assist users with telephony-related issues.
- Install and configure PCs, including software installations, adding devices to domains, and setting up user profiles.
- Install IT equipment and peripherals, such as printers and other devices, to meet user and organizational needs.
- Assist the onsite technical lead with a variety of IT projects, contributing to team success and organizational efficiency.
- Facilitate new user onboarding processes, ensuring new employees have the access and resources they need.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support roles such as IT help desk, IT desktop support, IT support analyst, or IT service desk.
- Preference for candidates holding relevant IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+, or equivalent.
- Experience working with ticketing systems like Autotask, ConnectWise, or similar platforms to manage and track support requests.
- Familiarity with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) solutions, such as Kaseya, Datto, Continuum, or ConnectWise, is highly desirable.
- General understanding of software and printer installation processes, enabling effective troubleshooting and support.
- Strong customer service skills, demonstrating a courteous, tactful, and professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to individuals or groups.
- Demonstrated reliability, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support.
