IT Help Desk Technician Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-user assistance by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to desktops, laptops, and network connectivity.
- Serve as the primary contact for Windows Desktop support, addressing hardware and software issues efficiently and professionally.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of Windows Server environments, including Windows 2016 and 2019 servers.
- Monitor alert systems and respond promptly to system notifications, following established guidelines for incident resolution.
- Utilize event logs and diagnostic tools to investigate and repair system malfunctions.
- Handle escalated service requests requiring advanced troubleshooting and technical expertise.
- Facilitate new user onboarding processes, ensuring proper setup and access for all employees.
- Support network services and equipment installations, including configuration of routers, switches, and related hardware.
- Provide LAN/WAN installation and ongoing maintenance to ensure reliable network performance.
- Install and support network hardware, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT systems.
- Assist in the support and deployment of building access controls, environmental monitoring systems such as lighting and HVAC, and other related technologies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in IT help desk, IT desktop support, IT support analyst, IT service management, or related technical support roles.
- Proven experience with network and firewall administration, including hands-on work with Sonicwall and Meraki platforms.
- Solid understanding of network, server, and workstation troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service, exhibiting a courteous, tactful, and professional demeanor at all times.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information clearly to groups.
- Reliable work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and accountability.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and processes.
