IT Help Desk Technician Job Overview
IDR is seeking a dedicated IT Help Desk Technician for a full-time opportunity in St. Joseph, MI. As an IT Help Desk Technician, you will join a collaborative team that supports over 700 locations nationwide, offering valuable experience and growth opportunities in the information technology field.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to end users across multiple locations, addressing a wide range of IT-related issues.
- Assist with password resets, end user connectivity issues, and basic troubleshooting for network and hardware problems.
- Install and configure printers, troubleshoot printer issues, and resolve related network connectivity problems.
- Deliver support and assistance with Microsoft Office 365 applications and services, ensuring efficient and seamless operation for users.
- Document support interactions and resolutions accurately, maintaining detailed records in the company’s ticketing system.
- Collaborate with a team of 15-20 Level 1 Help Desk Technicians to ensure timely, effective issue resolution.
- Prioritize customer service by communicating technical solutions clearly and professionally to non-technical users.
- Participate in ongoing training and knowledge sharing to stay current with IT best practices and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any field is required.
- Demonstrated interest in or background in Information Technology.
- Professional experience in an IT support role, with a focus on network and hardware troubleshooting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Basic troubleshooting skills, including password resets, printer installation and support, end user connectivity, and network diagnostics.
