IT Governance Analyst Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Governance Analyst to join our IT risk and governance team on a full-time basis in Memphis, TN. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing IT governance practices, supporting disaster recovery planning, and promoting effective documentation standards across the organization. This position is ideal for analytical, detail-oriented professionals with a passion for process improvement and strong collaborative skills within IT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders from over 60 departments to improve IT governance and disaster recovery (DR) processes, as well as documentation practices.
- Support the coordination, facilitation, and execution of disaster recovery tabletop exercises to ensure organizational readiness.
- Work closely with internal teams to triage and resolve IT audit findings by driving the timely completion of remediation efforts.
- Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing end-to-end workflows and proposing actionable solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain and enhance internal documentation, utilizing Confluence and other wiki-style tools to ensure up-to-date and accessible information.
- Educate and support stakeholders in IT risk management and governance best practices, aligning with recognized industry frameworks such as COBIT.
- Contribute to the integration of enhancements within governance and disaster recovery programs, supporting overall business continuity across both hybrid SaaS and on-premises environments.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in end-to-end process analysis and business process improvement within IT environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities effectively across multiple teams or projects.
- Hands-on experience creating structured documentation using Confluence or similar wiki platforms.
- Experience supporting IT audits, governance reviews, or disaster recovery initiatives.
- Familiarity with IT governance frameworks such as COBIT.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite as well as collaborative tools such as SharePoint and Jira.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in a disaster recovery, business continuity, or a similar IT governance role.
- Experience working with Riskonnect (formerly Castellan) or similar disaster recovery platforms (training can be provided if needed).
- Prior experience working in Agile development environments.
