IT Governance Analyst OverviewWe are seeking an experienced IT Governance Analyst to play an integral role in supporting IT governance, risk management, and disaster recovery initiatives for our organization. As an IT Governance Analyst, you will collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams to advance compliance frameworks and ensure the resilience of technology operations. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to critical IT strategies that support business continuity and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Support, maintain, and promote IT governance and risk management frameworks across the organization.
- Collaborate with product owners, solutions architects, and engineers to develop, implement, and test disaster recovery (DR) plans for both SaaS and on-premises environments.
- Lead disaster recovery tabletop exercises that simulate real-world scenarios, ensuring readiness and effective response strategies.
- Analyze current IT processes, recommend improvements, and drive efficiencies to enhance clarity and operational effectiveness.
- Own and maintain high-quality documentation across multiple platforms, including Confluence and SharePoint, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and facilitating the timely resolution of audit findings.
- Coordinate multiple ongoing projects and initiatives with various stakeholders, effectively managing timelines and priorities.
- Previous experience in IT governance, risk management, or disaster recovery planning is essential.
- Proficiency in documentation and process analysis using tools such as Confluence or SharePoint.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks like COBIT or similar industry standards is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives, meet project deadlines, and resolve ambiguity independently.
- Project management capabilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Preferred: At least three years of experience in a business continuity or disaster recovery role.
- Preferred: Experience with Riskonnect (formerly Castellan) is an asset.
