Job Title: IT Governance & Disaster Recovery Analyst
Location: Memphis, TN
Overview:
A dynamic organization is seeking an experienced IT Governance & Disaster Recovery Analyst to support ongoing initiatives focused on maturing internal governance programs and disaster recovery planning. This hands-on role is ideal for an analytical, documentation-focused professional who enjoys collaborating across departments, managing parallel workstreams, and driving tangible results in evolving environments.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and improve end-to-end governance and recovery processes
Facilitate and execute disaster recovery planning efforts for both cloud-based and on-premise systems
Coordinate quarterly tabletop exercises, audits, and compliance initiatives across 60+ internal teams
Create, maintain, and promote high-quality documentation using wiki-style tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint)
Identify process inefficiencies and champion improvements that align with organizational goals
Help integrate new governance standards into existing workflows, balancing structure with adaptability
Ideal Background:
3–5 years of relevant experience in IT governance, business continuity, or disaster recovery
Strong business analysis skills — capable of assessing complex workflows, identifying gaps, and proposing pragmatic improvements
Detail-oriented writer with experience creating documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and drive progress across cross-team initiatives
Familiarity with tools like Confluence, SharePoint, and Riskonnect is a plus
Conceptual understanding of COBIT or similar governance frameworks is helpful, but not required
Top Candidate Traits:
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and follow-through
Comfortable operating in ambiguous or “gray” areas without strict playbooks
Approaches challenges with flexibility, creativity, and a collaborative mindset
Not just a rule enforcer — but someone who finds ways to make processes work across diverse teams
A doer who pushes work forward rather than waiting on direction or delegation
Preferred Experience Includes:
Prior involvement in disaster recovery planning or business continuity (but not limited to niche tools or systems)
Hands-on documentation and governance experience, especially across multiple departments or functions
Exposure to internal audit or regulatory compliance workstreams
Who Will Succeed in This Role:
Candidates with a hybrid background in business analysis, compliance, or IT governance who enjoy solving problems, documenting improvements, and building repeatable processes. This is not a pure technical role or a senior strategy position — it's ideal for someone ready to roll up their sleeves and help advance key initiatives from within.
