IT Governance Analyst Overview
The IT Governance Analyst plays a critical role in supporting an organization's IT risk management, governance, and disaster recovery initiatives. As an integral member of the IT risk and governance team, this full-time position focuses on enhancing governance processes, facilitating disaster recovery (DR) planning and exercises, and promoting comprehensive documentation standards across the enterprise. The IT Governance Analyst is responsible for collaborating across multiple departments to ensure the organization’s IT environment remains resilient, compliant, and continuously improved.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders across diverse departments to enhance IT governance, disaster recovery, and documentation practices.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and execute disaster recovery tabletop exercises to ensure preparedness and effective response strategies.
- Work with internal teams to triage and address audit findings, supporting the timely completion of remediation activities.
- Drive process improvement by analyzing end-to-end workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending actionable solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance internal documentation using tools such as Confluence and other wiki-based platforms.
- Educate stakeholders on IT risk management and governance best practices, ensuring alignment with industry frameworks such as COBIT.
- Integrate process enhancements into governance and disaster recovery programs to support ongoing business continuity efforts across hybrid SaaS and on-premises environments.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end process analysis and business process improvement within IT environments.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities across multiple teams or projects.
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining structured documentation in Confluence or similar wiki tools.
- Familiarity with supporting IT audits, governance reviews, or disaster recovery initiatives.
- Understanding of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT, and their application in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaborative tools, including SharePoint and Jira.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
- Three or more years of experience working in a disaster recovery, business continuity, or IT governance capacity.
- Experience with DR platforms such as Riskonnect (formerly Castellan) or similar tools (training available if not previously experienced).
- Prior experience working in Agile environments.
