IT Account Manager Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain existing client accounts, ensuring the successful delivery of IT solutions and identifying opportunities for upselling.
- Develop new business opportunities by qualifying prospects and presenting customized IT product and service solutions.
- Foster and nurture long-term relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers within client organizations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and leverage this knowledge to present compelling value propositions that align with client needs.
- Oversee day-to-day client requirements, report on progress to the VP of Sales, and proactively identify potential business growth areas across client operations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices relevant to the MSP sector.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience selling IT hardware products and services, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Deep understanding of network security, data center solutions, hybrid cloud, managed print, and Voice over IP (VOIP) technologies, with a willingness to learn emerging IT trends.
- Ability to build rapport and inspire confidence among executive leadership, colleagues, and client partners.
- Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas to groups of varying sizes.
- Proven problem-solving and consultative sales skills, focused on identifying and delivering tailored solutions for clients.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Technical aptitude with the capability to translate complex concepts for clients.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Having an established client base in the Phoenix, AZ area is a significant plus.
