Inventory Analyst - Summary
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for financial analysis and reporting of inventory-related activities within the organization. The position requires strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency with Excel and Power BI, and the ability to work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Accounting teams. The ideal candidate will support monthly and quarterly close processes, analyze inventory trends, and contribute to the budgeting and forecasting of inventory accounts, ensuring accurate and timely data for management decision-making.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support monthly and quarterly financial close activities, with a particular focus on inventory reconciliations, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Conduct detailed analyses of inventory trends, movements, and valuation adjustments, including the assessment of provisions and reserves.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain advanced Excel models and Power BI dashboards to facilitate improved management reporting and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Supply Chain, Procurement, and Accounting teams, to provide insights into inventory drivers and working capital impacts.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes for inventory and related balance sheet accounts, helping to drive informed business decisions.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity in all financial reporting related to inventory, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline inventory financial analysis and reporting workflows.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in inventory financial analysis, FP&A, or supply chain finance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH functions.
- Experience utilizing Power BI for data visualization and management reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and communicate findings effectively.
