Interventional Radiologist (IR) - Locum Tenens Position OverviewOptigy is seeking a dedicated Interventional Radiologist (IR) - Locum Tenens to join our team and deliver exceptional patient care through advanced imaging and minimally invasive procedures. As an Interventional Radiologist (IR) in a locum tenens capacity, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuous and consistent radiology services to the community.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures according to current clinical protocols and national standards.
- Interpret medical images and provide clear, actionable reports to referring physicians and healthcare teams.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop patient care plans, ensuring comprehensive and efficient treatment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documentation, and procedure reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives as required.
- Flexibly adapt to scheduling needs, including standard shifts and on-call coverage as determined by departmental requirements.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with completed residency in radiology and fellowship in interventional radiology or equivalent training.
- Current and active medical license in the state of South Carolina (SC); clean malpractice and background history preferred.
- Relevant board certification in Interventional Radiology (IR) or eligibility as determined by national standards.
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency and adaptability within hospital or outpatient settings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Credentialing process may take up to 90 days; expedited review available for candidates with a clean professional record.
