Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) About the OpportunityPentaHealth is seeking an experienced and motivated Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our dedicated outpatient practice team. This full-time position is available due to a recent physician retirement and offers a unique opportunity to become part of a five-physician, patient-centered group within the larger PentaHealth multispecialty network. The role is based in West Chester, PA, the county seat of Chester County, located approximately 30 miles west of Philadelphia. Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine care to a diverse patient population using a value-based approach.
- Conduct patient examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans aligned with current evidence-based guidelines.
- Utilize the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system to document patient encounters and maintain accurate, timely records.
- Collaborate closely with fellow physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and administrative team members to deliver coordinated and high-quality care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices within the group.
- Engage in patient education and preventive health counseling as part of routine care.
- Maintain current knowledge of advancements in internal medicine and adhere to professional and ethical standards in all aspects of practice.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Pennsylvania, or eligibility to obtain one prior to employment.
- Demonstrated experience in outpatient internal medicine practice preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered, value-based care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, with experience in Epic EMR strongly preferred.
