IT Support Technician Job Overview
IDR is seeking an IT Support Technician for a leading healthcare organization in Honolulu, HI. This is a full-time, contract opportunity with a two-year duration. The IT Support Technician will be an integral part of a dynamic team, providing technical support and maintenance for the organization’s network, workstations, and related hardware and software. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support for a Microsoft-based network environment, including troubleshooting and maintenance of Windows 10/11 operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and MS Teams.
- Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, and tablet hardware and software issues, ensuring seamless network connectivity and peripheral device functionality.
- Assist in the deployment of new equipment by managing asset receipt, staging hardware, executing deployment tasks, and updating asset management systems to maintain accurate records.
- Perform data transfer, data recovery, and email account administration as required, while adhering strictly to technical manuals and organizational guidelines.
- Prepare computer assets for disposition, ensuring all procedures comply with organizational policy and industry standards.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all technical tasks and documentation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional customer service experience supporting PC and Macintosh desktop computing hardware in a client-facing role.
- Proficiency with operating system configuration, hardware configuration, and software installation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage asset inventory and work collaboratively with clinical staff and other stakeholders.
- Experience handling multiple PC refreshes daily (over 5 per day or 25 per week) in a fast-paced environment.
