Workstation Technician Job OverviewIDR is seeking a skilled Workstation Technician for a contract position with a leading healthcare organization in Woodland Hills, CA. This full-time opportunity is ideal for technology professionals who are adept at providing technical support in dynamic, team-oriented environments. As a Workstation Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware and software systems, supporting end-users, and ensuring optimal workstation performance in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive support for a Microsoft-based network environment, including Windows 10/11 operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and MS Teams.
- Diagnose and resolve basic desktop, networking, and application issues for a variety of endpoints, including desktops, laptops, and tablets.
- Manage and troubleshoot hardware and peripheral devices, addressing connectivity and performance-related concerns.
- Assist with deployment activities, such as receiving assets, equipment staging, executing deployments, and updating asset management systems accurately.
- Perform data transfer and recovery operations, administer email accounts, and prepare hardware assets for proper disposition according to organizational guidelines.
- Follow technical manuals and instructions meticulously to ensure high standards of work quality and compliance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years' professional experience in customer service supporting PC and Macintosh desktop computing hardware.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems configuration, hardware setup, and software installation processes.
- Proven experience in a client-facing technical support role, preferably working with clinical staff and managing asset inventory.
- Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of PC refreshes, including experience with over 5 daily or 25 weekly PC refreshes.
