Workstation Technician Position Overview
IDR is seeking a qualified Workstation Technician for a contract role with one of our top healthcare clients. The Workstation Technician position is designed for individuals with a strong background in supporting PC and Macintosh desktop computing hardware, with an emphasis on client-facing customer service and technical proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support for Microsoft-based networks, including administration and troubleshooting of Windows 10/11 operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, and basic desktop and networking issues.
- Manage, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and tablets, ensuring effective network communication and peripheral device functionality.
- Assist in the deployment and management of workstation assets, including asset receipt, equipment staging, deployment execution, and updating asset management systems in accordance with organizational procedures.
- Perform data transfer and recovery operations and provide email administration support while preparing assets for disposition, adhering strictly to technical manuals and detailed instructions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of professional customer service experience supporting PC and Macintosh desktop computing hardware.
- Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with operating system installation and configuration, hardware setup, and software installation.
- Minimum of 2 years in a client-facing role, including direct support for clinical staff and asset inventory management.
- Proven experience handling multiple PC refreshes, managing at least 5 daily and 25 weekly PC deployments or upgrades.
