IT Support Technician Job Overview
IDR is actively seeking an IT Support Technician for a contract position with one of our top healthcare clients in Pleasanton, CA. As an IT Support Technician, you will play a vital role in providing technical support and maintaining the integrity of the company’s workstation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on support for a Microsoft-based network, including Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, and related desktop and networking issues.
- Manage and troubleshoot PC hardware and software for desktops, laptops, and tablets, addressing network communication challenges and resolving peripheral equipment issues as they arise.
- Assist with the deployment process, which includes the receipt of assets, equipment staging, deployment execution, and systematically updating asset management systems to ensure accurate records.
- Conduct data transfer and recovery tasks, perform email administration duties, and prepare company assets for appropriate disposition, all while adhering closely to technical manuals and established instructions.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and provide support in accordance with industry best practices and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional customer service experience supporting PC and Macintosh desktop computing hardware in a client-facing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems, hardware configuration, and software installation.
- At least 2 years of experience interacting directly with end-users, including clinical staff and managing asset inventory.
- Experience managing multiple PC refreshes, with a proven ability to handle at least 5 daily or 25 weekly PC refreshes.
