Insurance Agent Job OverviewFarm Bureau Financial Services is seeking motivated individuals interested in joining our team as a full-time Insurance Agent in Stockton, KS. This role is ideal for candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset who are interested in building a rewarding career in the insurance industry, regardless of prior insurance experience. As an Insurance Agent, you will have the opportunity to serve your community by offering essential insurance and financial services while developing your own business. Candidates must currently reside in one of the following states: AZ, IA, KS, MN, NE, NM, SD, or UT.
Responsibilities- Obtain and maintain required licenses, including the Property & Casualty License, as well as the Life and Health License.
- Meet established new business production goals and objectives as outlined by Farm Bureau Financial Services.
- Generate new business opportunities through various channels such as telephone outreach, networking, and referrals.
- Set appointments with prospective clients and identify their insurance and financial service needs.
- Develop comprehensive insurance proposals tailored to clients, deliver compelling sales presentations, and successfully close sales.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and pass a background check as part of company requirements.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Leverage your personal and professional network (Project 150) to identify, contact, and build relationships with potential clients, including family, friends, and acquaintances.
- Act as an advocate for clients in your community, helping them identify and protect against everyday risks to their livelihoods and futures.
- Ability to obtain or already hold a Property & Casualty License and Life and Health License.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the capability to efficiently own and operate a new business.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to make a positive impact in your community.
- Ability to develop and maintain a network for business development purposes.
- SIE certification is preferred.
- Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
