Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate insurance quotes based on client needs and present tailored insurance solutions to prospective customers.
- Close sales and ensure each client fully understands their policy options, coverage, and benefits.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and maintaining regular communication as their insurance needs evolve.
- Build and sustain networking relationships with local small business owners, including professionals such as real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and auto dealers, to generate referral opportunities.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly service, responding to inquiries about insurance availability, eligibility, coverage limits, policy changes, transfers, claims, and billing questions.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to achieving success and meeting or exceeding sales goals on a daily basis.
- Identify new service opportunities for both existing and new clients, supporting the agency’s growth objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Property & Casualty license and a Life & Health insurance license, as required by state regulations.
- 1-2 years of sales experience preferred; experience meeting sales targets and quotas is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for helping individuals and families protect their assets and plan for the future through insurance and financial products.
- Strong sense of trustworthiness, dependability, and ethical conduct in all client and team interactions.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills; ability to explain complex insurance concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Ability to proactively generate new business by making initial client contacts and securing appointments, including through cold outreach.
