Insurance Sales Representative Job DescriptionPaul Counts - State Farm Agency, located in Odenton, MD, is seeking a motivated and outgoing Insurance Sales Representative for a full-time position. As an Insurance Sales Representative, you will play an integral role in developing and maintaining customer relationships and promoting a range of State Farm products, including auto, home, and life insurance, to clients throughout the Odenton, MD area. Responsibilities- Develop leads and proactively schedule appointments with potential and existing clients to identify their insurance needs.
- Market and sell appropriate insurance products and services, focusing on auto, home, and life insurance policies.
- Establish and nurture customer relationships, providing ongoing follow-up and support as needed to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Utilize a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate clients about the features and benefits of different insurance options.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, appointments, and sales activities to support business objectives.
- Sales experience is preferred, including roles such as outside sales, inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing; however, not required.
- Excellent communication skills, including strong written, verbal, and listening abilities.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to assess customer needs and conduct effective interviews.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and relate to customers to foster trust and long-term relationships.
- Must be able to obtain Property & Casualty license as well as Life & Health license, as required for the Insurance Sales Representative role.
