Insurance Agent Job OverviewNew York Life is seeking a dedicated and driven Insurance Agent to join our team on a full-time basis. As an Insurance Agent, you will play a key role in providing essential financial protection and guidance to individuals, families, and small businesses. Responsibilities- Promote and sell a diverse portfolio of insurance products, including life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, and investment products through NYLIFE Securities LLC (member of FINRA and SIPC).
- Assist clients in understanding and selecting appropriate insurance and financial solutions to meet their unique needs and goals, such as retirement planning, college savings, and wealth management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing ongoing support, policy reviews, and personalized service.
- Utilize a suite of digital sales, marketing, and prospecting tools to attract and retain clients, including web, social media, and email content.
- Work collaboratively with a team of professionals, including access to dedicated training professionals, mentorship programs, and peer-to-peer support networks.
- Complete all required training and obtain industry professional designations as necessary.
- Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with industry trends and regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, ethical guidelines, and compliance standards in all client interactions and business operations.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build relationships and explain complex financial concepts.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for success and the motivation to grow a client-focused business.
- Ability to follow a structured training program and utilize feedback from coaches and mentors.
- Previous sales experience is helpful but not required; comprehensive training will be provided.
- Commitment to personal and professional development, with a willingness to pursue relevant industry certifications.
