Insurance Sales Manager Position Summary
The Insurance Sales Manager plays a central role in driving individual and group insurance sales while supporting and coaching a network of independent agents. This full-time position involves prospecting new customers, maintaining relationships with current clients, and helping to achieve area-specific sales targets. The Insurance Sales Manager also assists in the recruitment and onboarding of new agents, ensuring they are equipped to represent the company’s portfolio of insurance products effectively.
Responsibilities
- Prospect new customers independently using field prospecting, referrals, targeted marketing, direct contact, and leveraging existing policyholders to expand the client base.
- Conduct regular meetings with current customers to present and sell insurance products, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Meet or exceed personal and team sales production standards as set by company goals and objectives.
- Develop and nurture strong customer relationships by responding promptly to needs and concerns, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Partner with management to identify, appoint, and support new independent agents in the assigned area, providing guidance and mentorship throughout the onboarding process.
- Accompany new and established agents on sales calls, offering training and support to build their confidence and improve sales outcomes.
- Deliver effective sales presentations using company-approved materials and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of insurance products and the sales process.
- Support agents in planning and appointment setting as needed, facilitating their success in the field.
- Report operational issues promptly to ensure smooth business setup and compliance with company and state legal standards.
- Host and participate in meetings with assigned agents to provide ongoing field training, mentorship, and performance feedback.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Successful and stable work history demonstrating reliability and achievement.
- At least one year of experience in coaching, mentoring, or leading teams.
- Minimum of six months of proven sales experience with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Experience in coaching and development is a plus.
- Intermediate proficiency in using technology and digital tools.
- Life, Accident, and Health insurance license required prior to appointment.
