The Insurance Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving growth and supporting agents in the insurance sector. This full-time opportunity is centered on both direct sales and the development of a high-performing team of independent agents. The Insurance Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting new clients, maintaining relationships with current customers, and executing strategies to achieve assigned sales objectives. This role is also essential in identifying, appointing, and supporting new agents to ensure their success in a competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently generate new clients and sales leads by utilizing field prospecting methods, referrals, direct contact, target marketing, and existing policyholder relationships.
- Build strong customer relationships, addressing client needs and concerns to foster loyalty and satisfaction.
- Meet and maintain minimum annual personal production standards as set by the agency to remain in good standing.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations aligned with customer needs, demonstrating thorough knowledge of company products and sales processes.
- Effectively present and utilize company sales materials, ensuring a professional and informative client experience.
- Respond to customer service inquiries or direct them to the appropriate channels for resolution.
- Field train and accompany assigned independent agents, providing ongoing support and guidance as needed.
- Assist new agents in developing a solid foundation in the sales process, including appointment planning and business setup.
- Mentor and coach established agents through field training and joint sales visits to enhance their performance.
- Report operational issues promptly when establishing new business opportunities.
- Participate in meetings with assigned agents, offering guidance, mentorship, and support for their professional development.
- Comply with agency, state, and company legal standards to ensure ethical conduct and regulatory adherence.

- Minimum six months of proven sales performance meeting or exceeding targets.
- Previous experience in coaching and development is advantageous.
- Intermediate proficiency with technology and digital tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Life, Accident, and Health insurance license required prior to appointment.
