Insurance Sales Agent Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and motivated Insurance Sales Agent to join our team in Hamlin, PA on a full-time basis. This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent and offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for sales and customer service within the insurance sector. As an Insurance Sales Agent, you will play a crucial role in developing strong relationships with clients, providing expert guidance on insurance products, and supporting the growth of the agency. The role is ideal for candidates who hold an active Property and Casualty license, have prior experience in insurance sales, and are committed to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Develop leads through strategic outreach, networking, and marketing efforts to expand the agency’s client base in Hamlin, PA.
- Schedule appointments, conduct needs assessments, and recommend appropriate insurance products and services tailored to individual client requirements.
- Establish and nurture long-term client relationships by providing consistent follow-up and ongoing support.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including responding to inquiries related to insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
- Meet or exceed established sales goals and quotas by actively pursuing new business opportunities and maximizing cross-selling potential.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and sales activities in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in regular training and professional development to stay current on industry trends, product offerings, and compliance requirements.
- Active Property and Casualty insurance license required.
- Life & Health insurance license preferred but not required.
- 1-2 years of insurance sales or general sales experience preferred.
- Demonstrated record of achieving sales targets is advantageous.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and relate effectively to customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work in-office in Hamlin, PA. Daily in-person presence is required.
