About the RoleThe Insurance Sales Agent position at Farmers Insurance provides comprehensive training and mentorship to help you succeed, whether you are new to the insurance industry or looking to expand your career. The Protege Producer Program, available to new candidates, offers hands-on experience with a mentor agent and district office training over a 9-12 month period. This program is designed to help you gain essential industry knowledge and confidence without requiring any upfront financial investment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients by understanding their insurance needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Educate clients on various insurance products, including property, casualty, life, and health insurance, ensuring they are informed and confident in their choices.
- Network and market insurance solutions within your community to generate leads and grow your book of business.
- Utilize digital tools and maintain a strong virtual presence to connect with clients and prospects in a modern, effective manner.
- Collaborate closely with mentor agents and district office staff to enhance your skills and industry knowledge.
- Participate in ongoing training, mentoring sessions, and performance check-ins to ensure continuous professional development.
- Practice effective time management and organizational skills to balance client work, training, and business development activities.
- Business savvy with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and drive to achieve performance goals.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication and networking skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Comfortable using digital platforms and maintaining a professional online presence.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to obtain Property, Casualty, Life, and Health Insurance licenses if not already licensed.
