Key Responsibilities
- Obtain the required Property & Casualty License, as well as a Life and Health License, if not already held.
- Meet and exceed new business production goals and objectives as established by Farm Bureau Financial Services.
- Generate new business leads through multiple channels, including telephone outreach, networking events, and personal contacts.
- Set appointments with prospective clients to assess their insurance and financial service needs.
- Develop tailored insurance proposals and deliver impactful sales presentations to close sales with new and existing clients.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and successfully complete a background check as part of the onboarding process.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Leverage an initial contact list of at least 150 individuals from your personal and professional network to kick-start your business development efforts.

- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and self-motivation to build and manage a growing business.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to efficiently operate an independent insurance agency.
- Commitment to serving as an advocate for clients within the local community, identifying their everyday risks and offering solutions to protect their futures.
- Ability to identify clients’ insurance needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain SIE certification is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and relationship-building.
