Insurance Sales Agent Job OverviewMacon Agency State Farm, an established insurance agency located in Saint Louis, MO, is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Insurance Sales Agent for a full-time position. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are eager to begin or further develop their career in the insurance sector. New team members will receive comprehensive training, making prior insurance experience helpful but not required. The Insurance Sales Agent role is central to our mission of delivering excellent client service while supporting the growth and retention of our customer base in the Saint Louis, MO area. This is a full-time employment opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new service opportunities by building relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
- Establish and nurture customer relationships with a focus on small business owners and apartment managers.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including setting appointments, managing claim submissions, and clarifying billing inquiries.
- Utilize a needs-based review process to educate clients about insurance options and recommend suitable policies.
- Communicate effectively to address customer needs and contribute to the continued growth of the agency's business.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Preferred background in customer service, telemarketing, or sales.
- Strong belief in the value and impact of insurance and financial products in clients’ lives.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in prospecting and scheduling appointments, including from cold leads.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Eligibility to obtain a Property and Casualty License within 30 days of hire is required.
- Eligibility to obtain a Life/Health License is required.
- Ability to achieve mutually agreed-upon marketing and sales goals.
- Interest in building a long-term career in the insurance industry.
Candidates may start in a part-time capacity until they obtain their property and casualty license within 30 days of hire. Licensed candidates are eligible for immediate full-time employment. A signing bonus is available for those who obtain their Property and Casualty License prior to starting. Licensed team members will have the opportunity to guide aspects of their role.
