Insurance Sales Agent Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Insurance Sales Agent for a full-time position at a State Farm agency located in Spartanburg, SC. As an Insurance Sales Agent, you will play a key role in helping individuals and families protect their financial future by offering a wide range of insurance products. Key Responsibilities
- Develop leads and schedule appointments to identify and understand the unique insurance needs of each customer.
- Market and sell appropriate insurance products and services, including property & casualty and life & health policies.
- Establish and nurture strong customer relationships through proactive communication and follow-up.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service by responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, policy changes, claim submissions, and billing questions.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and ensure all compliance requirements are met.
- Collaborate closely with agency staff to achieve sales goals and contribute to the team’s overall success.
Requirements
- Active license in Property & Casualty or Life & Health insurance is required prior to start date.
- Previous insurance sales experience and familiarity with Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health products are preferred.
- Sales background in outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales goals or quotas is preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills are essential.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to relate well to customers and build trust to support their insurance needs.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish or Ukrainian are preferred, but not required.
