Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join a successful State Farm Agent's team on a full-time basis in Coon Rapids, MN. As a key member of this team, you will play an essential role in supporting clients with their insurance needs, focusing on providing exceptional customer service and insurance product knowledge. This position is ideal for licensed professionals with experience in property and casualty as well as life and health insurance, especially those with a background working with State Farm products.

Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture strong customer relationships by delivering prompt, accurate, and friendly service in every interaction.
• Respond to customer inquiries on insurance availability, eligibility, coverage options, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing questions.
• Conduct needs-based reviews to educate customers about insurance options, helping them make informed decisions that best protect their interests.
• Follow up with clients as needed to ensure ongoing satisfaction and resolve any outstanding issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism and work ethic, demonstrating a consistent commitment to excellence every day.
• Provide activity reports to the agent and remain informed on product changes, licensing requirements, and technical developments through ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license (required).
• Active Life and Health license (required).
• Previous State Farm experience is highly preferred and will be valued.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and proactive in problem solving and follow-through.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Comfortable using computer systems and adaptable to new technology platforms.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and taking pride in accurate, timely work completion.
