Insurance Customer Service Representative Position Overview
The Insurance Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of an independent insurance agency, ensuring that customers receive prompt, accurate, and friendly service. As an Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will have the opportunity to build strong client relationships, assist with policy inquiries, and support the team’s overall growth and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture relationships with new and existing customers to foster trust and loyalty.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, responding to inquiries about insurance products, policy coverage, eligibility, policy changes, transfers, billing, and claim submissions.
- Utilize a customer-focused, needs-based approach to educate clients about available insurance options, including Property & Casualty and Life & Health products.
- Follow up with customers as needed to ensure their needs are met and concerns are addressed efficiently.
- Maintain a strong work ethic and demonstrate a commitment to daily success through consistent, high-quality service.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve agency goals and support a positive, productive work environment.
- Prepare and submit timely, thorough activity reports to the agency leader to support business operations and compliance standards.
- Remain current with product changes, licensing requirements, technical developments, and continuing education as required for the insurance industry.

- Current 440, 20-44, or 440 insurance license required, or willingness and ability to obtain relevant licenses as needed.
- Must be able to obtain Property & Casualty license and Life & Health license if not already held.
