Insurance Customer Service Representative Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is a key support position within a State Farm Agency located in Vernon, CT. As a valued member of our agency, you will contribute to delivering an excellent customer experience for both potential and existing clients. In this position, you will provide essential administrative and customer service support, assisting the agency owner and team members in achieving service goals. This is a non-sales role with a focus on service, support, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by responding promptly and accurately to client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Support agency operations by assisting with policy changes, billing questions, and general administrative duties.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the agency, ensuring all requests are handled with professionalism and efficiency.
- Help maintain accurate client records and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and agency policies.
- Assist the agency owner and team members in meeting customer service and operational goals.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues, working collaboratively to find solutions before they become problems.
- Uphold the agency’s commitment to excellent service by following up with clients as needed and ensuring their satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license required, or willingness to obtain within two months of hire.
- Life & Health insurance license is ideal; candidates without may still be considered if willing to pursue licensure.
- Previous experience with State Farm is a plus and may be compensated accordingly.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and effective documentation abilities.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to foresee and proactively address potential challenges.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- In-office presence required; remote work is not available for this position.
